2019 Student Sustainability Leaders Conference
Make the most of your time in the sustainability community
Kick off a collaborative, enjoyable, and productive year by attending the 2019 Student Sustainability Leaders Conference, co-hosted by the Campus Sustainability Office and Cornell Environmental Collaborative. Join student leaders across campus for lunch and a mini-conference focused on strategic planning, organizational and personal development, and networking in order to create a more just and sustainable Cornell.
Sunday, October 6th from 12-3:30pm in PSB Atrium
RSVP by Wednesday, October 2nd at 11:59pm.
The Sustainability Leaders Conference is ECO and the CSO’s kick off to the semester. This is a space for sustainability leaders to be in the same room together and discuss what they want to see accomplished on campus. Not only is it a chance to unify sustainability groups on campus, but it’s also a great way for anyone interested in sustainability at Cornell to learn more about what the university and its organizations are working on.
We hope you can leave with knowledge of what Cornell and the Campus Sustainability Office is already doing and how your organization can fit into that scheme, and have more connections in our sustainability community. Combined, we hope we can create a larger and more focused impact on Cornell sustainability.
Additionally, representatives from Cornell’s new Sustainable Cornell Council will be in attendance, and will be taking these ideas and priorities to the SCC meetings. Get your voice heard about changes you want to see on the administrative level!
ECO’s History
ECO was formed after the first annual Leadership Summit in December of 2014, which was planned by leaders of the group of 130 Cornell students who attended the People’s Climate March in NYC. Leaders in the sustainability community saw a need for an org to unite sustainability / environmental organizations on campus.. Since then, ECO has expanded and now collaborates with around 30 sustainability organizations on campus, hosting events such as Spring Fest, ECO Fest, ECOuture, and our annual Leadership Summit.
